A takeaway container has one job that matters more than any other: it must arrive intact. Soup bowls carry liquid at temperature, noodle bowls sit in an insulated bag for twenty minutes, and compartmented lunch boxes are stacked and tilted. Leak Resistance Comes From the Tooling

Leak resistance is designed, not inspected in. Three things decide it:

• Corner radius. Sharp internal corners thin the sheet during forming. Generous radii keep wall thickness uniform where stress concentrates.
• Bottom profile. A flat base with a defined foot ring resists bulging when hot liquid is added.
• Rim geometry. A rolled or stepped rim gives the lid a mechanical seat rather than a flat contact face.

Why PP for Hot Food

PP is the default for takeaway because it holds its shape at serving temperature and is suitable for microwave reheating. It also tolerates the oils and sauces that attack cheaper materials. For chilled salads and desserts, PS and PET give better clarity, and PLA serves operators who need a compostable option. Longsheng machines process PP, PS, HIPS, PVC, PET, PLA, PE and biodegradable materials on the same platform.

Compartmented Boxes and Production Efficiency

Five-compartment fast food boxes are formed in a single cycle with the divider walls drawn from the same sheet. Deep-draw compartments need even heating and firm clamping pressure, which the multi-station layout provides by separating heating from forming.

Efficiency in this segment is measured in containers per hour at a reject rate low enough to matter. Stable forming and punching stations cut scrap, and quick tool changes let a producer switch between a 500 ml soup bowl and a compartmented lunch box within the same shift.

Longsheng holds 25 authorised patents, including one invention patent, and supports customers with installation guidance and operator training.
